I’ve been running around, gone all day, and all I want to do is sit and write.
It’s my release. My vegetation. My relaxation time. My “TV” since I don’t watch TV.
Anyone else relate?
I type. I breathe. In. Out. I feel my muscles unclench. My heart rate lower. My life and brain come together.
I crave this alone time as much as I crave my morning CrossFit workouts.
It keeps me sane in the mist of insanity.
What do you do to relax and unwind?
Yes! I can totally relate to that. Writing and reading are my tv! While I sit next to my husband watching tv… 🤣

I also write, I read others’ posts, watch a small number of television shows, or an occasional movie, go hiking or just hang out with friends.

I write and this year took up colouring, nature colouring books, sounds silly doesn’t it, but helps me to relax. Hope you and your lovely Family are well.

Writing is a great release. I can certainly relate to getting caught up in the busyness of the day and looking forward to sitting down and punching out some words on my laptop.

Reading, writing, music are all great form of escapism and occupy my time. Sometimes I wish I could draw too but I don’t have time for that when there is a good book to be inhaled!

Writing is the first thing I do after work. It’s a great way for me to transition from business to pleasure.

I write, I read books, I drink a glass of wine here and there, I doodle in my Bible, I listen to music while mopping the floor, I take the dog for a walk.
Thanks for the follow! I see you’re in the lovely state of CO – that’s where I was born and raised. I miss those mountains and that sky 🙂

I love to write in my journal at night. It relaxes me and gets busy thoughts out of my head. Or sometimes I write a blog post at night.

My journals call out to me constantly. There is rarely a moment in a day when a narrative is not running inside my head, composing prose. Metaphor and Irony, colorful turning of phrases, compelling descriptive text.
It hounds and stalks through my day me like an addiction, a compulsion, an obsession.
I can’t wait for the chance to steal away from the rest of this world,
and venture deep within my own.
Gotta go…

I have recently had problems with my eyes which has stopped me reading as much as I would like so, I have discovered audiobooks! I love to sit with a coffee and listen to a good story. I can download them free from our local library which is fun. There is such a random selection available that I am discovering fiction that I would never have bought as a book!

Writing for me is compulsive – I couldn’t function without it! I write best in the early mornings (it’s 6:38 here now) and edit best in the evenings – I don’t know why. Thank you for following my blog, and I’m looking forward to reading yours; best, Fred Anderson.
